E-BLOCKS UPDATE: 64 Community Day Schools Not Completed, 27 Terminated
The ministry of Education has disclosed that 27 contracts, out of the 64 Community Day Senior High Schools (E-Blocks) that have not been completed have been terminated.
In an interview with Focus FM’s Nana Ama D. Nuakoh on the Teknokrat show on Thursday, 28th October, 2021, Master Jeff Aboagye, a Fact Checker, made projections from the 2021 Report on the EBLOCKS, revealing that out of the promised 124 Community Day Senior High Schools (E-BLOCK) that were to be built, only 60 had been completed and 64 were not.

Master Aboagye went on to reveal that the Community Day Senior High School (E-Block) is a Government of Ghana Project which commenced in 2014 which is being financed by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (Get Fund) and the World Bank.
“This project is to help put up 124 schools in various districts across the length and breadth of this country,” he added.
He continued by saying that “the Government of Ghana is funding 101 of this project under two phases (PHASE 1 & PHASE 2), and the World Bank is funding 23.”
Out of the 60 that have been completed, he explained, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) completed 31, and the National Democratic Congress completed 29.
