Statistics from the Ghana Health Service (GHS) reveal that about 40 individuals who have fallen prey to the Covid-19 pandemic are in severe condition.
The Service in its latest update disclosed that Some 13 others are in a critical state.
Data on the GHS website shows that, one more life has been lost to the coronavirus disease. This brings the country’s death toll to 1,175.
As of October 24, the country has recorded a total of 1,781 active cases.
A total of 36 new cases have also been recorded in some four regions in the country. The four are Greater Accra Central, Western and Ashanti regions.
Cumulatively, the country has confirmed 130,077 Covid-19 cases since the emergence of the pandemic in March last year.
Meanwhile, 127,121 individuals who have recovered from the virus have been discharged from the various health facilities.
