
King Promise self-isolating over coronavirus after returning from the UK
Ghana has so far recorded sixteen confirmed Covid-19 cases within its shores. Nearly 500 contact tracing persons have also been identified and are being monitored by health officials.
Ghanaian musician and songwriter Gregory Bortey Promise Newman known as King Promise has been speaking on how he has confined himself in Ghana due to coronavirus fears after returning from Europe.
King promise has canceled his “As Promised World Tour” concert which was scheduled to take place at various places in Europe including Germany and London between March 5 and March 12, 2020 due to the pandemic novel coronavirus outbreak.
The singer has confined himself to his home after returning to Ghana.
King promise stated in an interview with TV3’s MzGee that he will be out of sight for the next two weeks as he follows the World Health Organization’s protocols due to his recent travel history.
“I have not experienced any symptoms of coronavirus, but you know I just returned from abroad and it’s important I do this, so I’m in my room chilling, watching football and the company’s doctor will also be paying me regular visits, so I’m fine,” he said.
He noted that it was necessary to cancel the rest of the “As Promised World Tour” concert despite huge turn out recorded in the first two shows in London and Amsterdam
The “CCTV” hitmaker, however, urged fans to adhere to WHO’s guidelines to protect themselves from the deadly virus.
