Woman Protests Against TESLA Brake Malfunction

An angry TESLA owner climbed atop one of the electric vehicle pioneer’s cars on the opening day of the Shanghai Auto Show to protest her car’s brake malfunction at the Shanghai auto show Monday.

She was however dragged away by security before things got out of hand.

Wearing a white T-shirt with Chinese writing that translated as “Brake Lost Control,” the woman climbed onto a red Model 3 in Tesla’s modest booth on Monday, according to videos and photos circulating on social media.

Self-driving cars

Elon Musk, Tesla’s chief executive, has previously laid out his vision for “fully self-driving” cars to be made available this year.

But last month, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened investigations into 27 crashes involving Tesla vehicles.

A series of fires have also taken place involving the Model S.

In 2018, a Tesla car driven by British TV director Michael Morris burst into flames, following another such incident involving a Model S model in France in 2016.

Several fires related to Tesla Model S cars took place in 2013.
