The office of the Student Representative Council (SRC) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has released a statement that seeks to outline some new developments that have occurred regarding the swearing-in of SRC APPOINTEES and the steps that have been taken to
instil discipline amongst SRC Officers.
The SRC President, Master Michael Abuah, has signed an instrument to add new features to the
existing SRC officers’ ‘CODE OF CONDUCT’ 2021, a working document, which shall seek to promote good behaviour amongst SRC appointees and that they exude the quality required of such a distinguished office.
Also, he believes that the first call of discipline should be evident amongst his appointees and holds very much importance to ensure that there is decorum and the best of working habits amongst Officers of the SRC. This, he hopes will preserve the very sanctity of the SRC and ensure public trust and confidence in the administration.
This newly signed Code Of Conduct is in line with the SRC President’s objectives of;
i. Increasing the relevance and connection of the SRC with students and ensuring inclusive governance as well as promoting discipline as a Chief Steward.
ii. Promoting transparency and accountability as the lifeblood of his administration.
