KNUST: Enoch Boafo Amponsah becomes 2nd Ghanaian to bag Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarship

A young graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Enoch Boafo Amponsah  has become the second Ghanaian to receive the  Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarship and Leadership Programme to study at the University of Oxford.

Enoch Boafo, former Research Assistant at the Department of Sociology and Social Work, in a social media post expressed his excitement as being the only Ghanaian amongst 35 scholars from 25 countries for the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarship and Leadership Programme.

He also revealed that the fully funded scholarship is to sponsor his education to pursue a Masters degree in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation.

“Seven years ago after my senior high school education, if anyone had told me that I will be in the best university in the world, I would have laughed but God in His perfect timing “engineered” my journey to get me this far. Indeed, He makes all things beautiful in His time. I got here because I stood on the shoulders of giants (close family & friends) whose immense support & sacrifice I don’t take for granted. I’m poised for what is ahead and more confident in God’s plan in my life,” he posted.

Enoch is a Cofounder of Kings World Incorporated, a non-profit organization that aims at making the world a better place through education by making quality and sound education accessible to individuals from diverse backgrounds. As the Vice President, Enoch engaged key stakeholders, conducted a needs assessment in both Ayeduase R/C JHS and Kotei R/C JHS and made resources that will aid quality and sound education readily available to both teachers and students, ensured students are mentored and guided
