Ghana Premier giants, Bechem United have officially appointed Focus FM’s sports sensation Atuahene Gyasi Emmanuel as the new Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the club.
The young brainy sports presenter got the position with his communication exploits that convinced management of the ‘Hunters’ after months of searching for a new PRO. The club released a statement signed by the chief executive officer Nana Kwasi Darlyn earlier on Friday to confirm the news.
According to the club, Emmanuel Gyasi has the requisite knowledge and experience to help the club achieve its set goals. The newly appointed PRO spoke exclusively to Focus FM after picking up his new role.
“I’m highly overwhelmed and enthused given this opportunity to serve the club”. He said
“I’m hopeful that the indefatigable fans of the club will support me whole heartedly in achieving the club’s set goals”
“As the PRO, I’ll help strengthen the flow of information to the entire fanbase of the club and the general public at large. Indeed Bechem United FC is the Pride of Ahafo and I’ll surely make them proud”. He added.
Emmanuel Gyasi has been working with KNUST’s campus radio Focus 94.3 Mhz since January 2019 as part of his extra-curricular activities during his first degree at the University.
He is currently reading BA French & Francophone Studies with Sociology as his minor at KNUST and also works with After2 Radio in Bechem. He is also the PRO for the French Students’ Association (FRENSA – KNUST)
Bechem United were 7th with 22 points in the recently annulled 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League.
