The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), as part of its efforts towards streamlining and improving its services, is set to accept the Ghana Card from its new pension scheme applicants.
The new National Pension Scheme was instituted by the National Pensions Act, Act 766 which ensures that every Ghanaian worker receives retirement benefits as and when due.
