Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology will today, February 25 donate 533 brand new laptops to students under the Support One Needy Student One Laptop initiative by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Rita Akosua Dickson.
The program is expected to start at 2pm in the afternoon at the Great Hall.
This occasion is in fulfillment of one of her key visions ;a special initiative dubbed: “Support one needy student with one laptop” to help poor students who may be unable to acquire a laptop for online studies.
The SONSOL project, a flagship initiative of the first female Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, is geared towards helping poor students who may be unable to acquire a laptop for online studies.
The project has so far received a tremendous push from stakeholders including cooperate-partners, industry, and philanthropists.
