Ghana’s Women U20 Captain Evelyn Badu Optimistic of Victory Against Zambia

Captain of Ghana’s Women U20 team Evelyn Badu has expressed confidence in the Black Princesses winning against Zambia in Lusaka.

The Hasaacas Ladies midfielder was quite optimistic, foreshadowing a victory for the Princesses away from home.

“Our fitness level is good and we’re ready to face Zambia on Saturday. We’re going to beat them and make Ghana proud”, she said.

The Black Princesses take on Zambia on Saturday, 4th December in the qualifiers of the 2022 U20 Women’s World Cup.

The team has already arrived in Zambia and organized some training sessions ahead of the clash.

Head coach of the team Ben Fokuo also reiterated on the point raised by his captain, signaling victory for the Black Princesses.

“We started preparation about 3 months ago in Ghana. We’ve had series of friendly games which tells us the girls are ready to win the game. We know that we’ll come out victorious”.

This is the second round of qualifiers for the Princesses, after Mauritania pulled out of the qualifiers in the first round.
