Ghana Meteorological Agency predicts heavy Harmattan in Ghana
Ghana Meteorological Agency has predicted a heavy Harmattan in Ghana, in the coming days.
Data gathered by the Ghana Meteorological Agency indicates that Ghana is set to experience an intensive harmattan. The release noted that this was to take effect starting Wednesday, January 20, 2021. The intensive harmattan is expected to continue into the weekend.
This information was released by the Agency on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, signed and sealed by the head of CAPO, Michael Padi, in care of NADMO, Ghana National Fire Service, All media houses, and the General Public.
According to the agency, “dust has been raised around Chad, the source region, and will advect into the country to deteriorate surface visibility.”

The Northern half of the country is set to experience a relative humidity of less than 20%, and less than 50% over parts of the Southern sector.
Ghanaians are hereby cautioned to abstain from naked fires and be careful on roads due to poor visibility.
