After losing their first group game against Morocco in Yaoundé on Monday, Ghana captain Andre Ayew is absent from the team’s post game training session.
After colliding with a Moroccan defender late in the game, Ayew received a head injury. Following the accident, he had six sutures.
The Al Sadd star took part in recovery training at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo Annexe on Tuesday, but was not present for Wednesday’s session.
Despite the injury concern, the team doctor told media following yesterday’s training session that Ayew will be available for the second group game.
In the next round, the Black Stars will face Gabon at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaoundé on Friday, January 14, 2022.
