There has been a new Ebola vaccination program in Ivory Coast after the country confirmed its first case since 1994.
The first people to receive the vaccine were the infected teenager’s family and the health care workers involved, according to the report.
“All 2,000 people that we consider exposed from the community, as well as people from the health system and security,” Serge Ehole a health official said on Monday.
Infected teenager arrived in Abidjan on a bus from Guinea and tested positive for Ebola on Saturday.
Symptoms of Ebola include a high fever and, in the most extreme cases, uncontrollable bleeding.
