John Dumelo Laments Over hostile treatment form Ghanaians for declaring his support for NDC

Ghanaian award winning actor John Dumelo says he lost major deals for openly supporting the National Democratic Congress(NDC) in 2016.

According to John, months after the New Patriotic Party(NPP) took over power from the NDC, companies he had been working with called to cancel their partnerships with him.

He made this comment after former President John Dramani Mahama’s statement about celebrities becoming outcasts when they declare their support for a party.

Speaking in an interview with an Accra based radio station, the actor said he doesn’t encourage celebrity support for his party, the NDC, ahead of the 2020 polls.

He also said some of his colleagues support him in his campaign to become the Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.

John also indicated that there are other colleagues in the industry who have also lost contracts because of a change in power.
