
Kumasi: Three burnt to death at Anloga Junction
Three people on Thursday 5th November 2020 were burnt alive which led to their death after the tricycle they were traveling in collided with a truck at Anloga Junction in Kumasi in the Ashanti region.
Eyewitnesses say that the loaded truck identified as a Hyundai vehicle with registration number GC-3897-20 failed its brake and collided with the tricycle popularly called ‘Pragya’ by local people. As a result, all passengers in the tricycle got burnt and died instantly.

The deceased persons, a woman and a kid believed to be her child and another young man were all in the tricycle
According to some eyewitnesses, the Hyundai vehicle was driving towards Afful Nkwanta on the inner-lane of the road not far from the traffic light at Anloga Junction when the tricycle crossed it in an attempt to move from the outer to the inner lane of the same stretch.
“We were here then we saw the bus running over the tricycle (Pragya), which has fully loaded with three passengers burning, in trying to quench the fire, we used five extinguishers but couldn’t quench the fire and they all got burnt” eyewitness recalls.
