
Facilities on the campus of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) will from Monday, March 30 to Thursday, April 27, 2020, be fumigated according to a statement signed by the registrar, Mr. Andrews Kwasi Boateng.
The management of KNUST says the massive fumigation exercise is to sanitize facilities on campus.
Areas to be fumigated include the main administration block and library, lecture halls, laboratories, halls of residence, KNUST Basic Schools, amongst others.
The exercise will begin on Monday with the College of Engineering and will be climaxed with a mop-up from 23rd to 27th April 2020.
Meanwhile, the registrar in an earlier statement directed all KNUST administrative and professional staff, with the exception of staff rendering essential services, to stay away from the office with effect from Wednesday, March 25.

KNUST to roll out E-Learning mode of teaching and learning
Management of KNUST effective 25th March 2020 began electronic learning for all students of the university.
The registrar in a statement directed all teaching staff to make course materials and other related logistics available on the KNUST Virtual Learning platform.
It said the teaching staff may continue to work from home and interact with their students online.
“They should ensure that there are regular and timely assignments to students in order for them to submit same on time,” the statement said.
