KNUST Debate Society Bemoans the Demise of their King

The demise of KNUST’s King Midas comes as a blow to all. His untimely passing occurred just a day after his birthday.

King Midas Amoateng was one of the liveliest persons in KNUST. He was one of the best writers in KNUST.

He played a lot of leadership roles which included the Public Relations Officer for Socioso, a GLASA Executive, and the Speaker of the KNUST Students Parliament. He was also a panelist at Focus FM; the KNUST campus radio. He was a very honest and Outspoken Person that everyone grew fond of.

In a statement released by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Debate Society (KDS) on Wednesday, 9th June, 2021, they find it nearly impossible to believe that an energetic and lively person such as King Midas has been lost to a gory accident just a day after his birthday.

He played such a vital role in the foundation and contributed to its success, and his demise has created a heartsore in all its members and anyone who ever had an encounter with him.

Through this message, the Executive council and the entire membership of KNUST Debate Society wishes to officially express their condolences to the Amoateng family for the loss of their son, father, brother, uncle, and someone who was more than words to describe.

Rest In Peace, KING MIDAS AMOATENG
