BlowChem Industries Limited, producers of Bel-Aqua mineral water and Bel-Beverages have donated to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and the Ashanti regional police command to help with the fight to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
The donation spearheaded by Ghanaian actor, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin who is the brand ambassador for Bel-Malt saw the team presenting over 5,000 bottles of the products to KATH and the security personnel.
Lilwin in an interview with the media after the donation indicated his motivation for leading the donation.
“I came here with Blochem Industries of which I am the brand Ambassador to donate these items to the Health Workers and the Security personnel to ensure they are well taken care of, considering how they are risking their lives for us and really appreciate their work so far,”
He commended the frontline workers on the tremendous work they have done over the past weeks in the fight against the outbreak in the country, whiles calling on Ghanaians to adhere to all precautionary measures.
“I would urge fellow citizens to listen to all guidelines by the various health authorities and stay home to stop the spread,” he advised.
Deputy Ashanti Regional Police Commander, ACP David Agyemang Adjem, who received the items on behalf of the Command was grateful to the team for their kind gesture and support towards ”Operation COVID safety” and also urged the general public to comply with the Presidential directives which are aimed at saving lives.
Lilwin also visited some security officials who were at some checkpoints to enforce the restriction of movement in some areas in Greater Kumasi.
Taking to Instagram to share photos, Lil Win said that he donated to show support for front line workers leading the fight against coronavirus.
“Together with the Bel-Malt, or @belbeverages we yesterday donated some products to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and the Ashanti Regional Police Headquarters as we continue to support both the infected and front liners.
