Chinese billionaire, Jack Ma, founder of Alibaba has donated medical supplies and equipment to Africa to combat the novel coronavirus which has hit the continent. Africa as a continent has a population of about 1.3 billion people and Jack Ma says the potential danger and risks the continent faces cannot be ignored.
This comes days after he donated coronavirus testing kits to the United States, Iran, and Italy.
Africa in the past few days has seen a surge in coronavirus cases. This has seen some countries shut down schools, public gatherings and issue travel bans on countries that have been hard-hit by the novel coronavirus.
